This book may help you to explore and identify available, existing, new, or previously successful best possible solutions, strengths and resources to address a current difficult situation. You are reminded to allow yourself to be thankful for what you have, to appreciate yourself, others, and your environment, to believe and reward yourself, to show compassion and kindness to yourself; to invest in thinking and doing wonderful things for yourself without neglecting people who need you. You are encouraged to practise to create calmness that improves the quality of sleep, reduce anxiety, and reduce the replaying of unhelpful trauma (emotional injuries) memories.
Collectively, the techniques contribute to positive emotions, physical reactions (joy, contentment, calmness, etc.) and the release of happy hormones (serotonin) in your body. Serotonin produces many emotional and medical benefits that include reducing anxiety by producing calmness, and increasing the strength of your immune system, and slowing aging.
